Los Angeles Unified School District – San Pedro High School Renovation and Expansion Project 2021 – 2027 involved the saving (removal and reinstallation into original location) of 9 WPA murals. Interaction with the LAUSD board, general contractor went far beyond the contracted norm of mural conservation.
City of Indio (Coachella Valley), California for maintenance, preservation and restoration of public art (mostly murals). The city has been enhancing its visibility to the many millions of local festival goers that attend each year over the last 20+ years. Our guidance and dialog with Indio officials has contributed to dialog with other municipalities’ public art programs in the Palm Springs area.
Washington State Arts Commission (ArtsWA), State government dept oversees public art in 1500 public schools statewide. They are actively having new murals painted also. Standards of practice are important and followed, guided by mural art conservators who assist the artists with new murals and the department with assessments, etc of vintage murals which includes relocations (removing murals).

Army Corp of Engineers, Corona, CA on the Prado Dam Bicentennial Freedom Mural – Flaunted as “the biggest mural in the world” the 1979 public art created by Vietnam vets, local artists and high school kids has become a treasured historic landmark for the 12 million people that live in the area and the 10 million people that drive by it on the 91 freeway every month. Thomas Fire and Montecito Mudslides 2018 – Largest wildfire in the history of the State of CA. We consulted on smoke damage etc on artwork and collectibles for over 10 insurance companies and made over 60 proposals to treat/clean and maintain 7,000 – 8,000 art related objects.
